Dear Friends and Partners,
As some of you may have heard, Daniel Pitasky has decided to step down as executive director of the Schultz Family Foundation to pursue a new adventure. While we are sad to see him go, we are enormously grateful for all of Daniel’s contributions to the foundation over the past seven years.
Daniel was the first full-time employee to join the foundation in 2013. Under his leadership, the foundation has accomplished a lot. We’ve recruited an extremely talented team, sharpened our strategic focus, developed new and innovative partnerships, expanded our grant making, and grown our charitable assets. The platform we have built will enable us to expand our giving and positions us well to have an even greater impact in the future.
I am very proud of the expert team we have recruited at SFF and believe that the foundation is well-positioned to continue our important work. We have begun the search for Daniel’s full-time replacement. In the interim, Renée Ryan, a trusted friend and long-time advisor to the foundation has agreed to serve as interim executive director. Marie Groark, program director, and Alison Green, chief operations officer, will continue to provide program and operational leadership.
Please join me in thanking Daniel for his service.
With gratitude,
Sheri
