Pavel Gigov

Pavel Gigov works as an executive assistant supporting the chief learning and impact officer at the Schultz Family Foundation, and he also lends his knowledge and expertise in various other foundation projects and initiatives. Most-recently, Pavel worked at the University of Washington where he served as the executive assistant and acting chief of staff to the dean of the School of Law.

Prior to moving to Seattle, Pavel spent two decades in Chicago which he often refers to as “the most American of all American cities.” There, he worked at GG+A, BBDO, and the Chicago Zoological Society, among others, where he held various roles of considerable complexity and wide-ranging impact in philanthropic management consulting, government, and private sector settings. An inextinguishable optimist and believer in humanity, Pavel’s personal and professional work has always been grounded in his effort to advance equitable opportunities for all and serve his community and a country that has given him so much.  

Born in Bulgaria, Pavel holds an engineering degree from Sofia University. Among his many weekend passions are camping, hiking, skiing, architecture, cooking, and a good road trip. Pavel and his black lab Annie are members of FEMA’s urban search and rescue task force.
